Elastic Cloud Compute, or EC2, is the core service for Compute in Amazon Web Services (AWS). An EC2 instance is effectively a virtual server that you “rent,” meaning you only pay for what you use.

In this video, I’ll provide a short overview of EC2, its benefits, and why you would use it. Then in a hands-on tutorial, I’ll walk through how to create a new EC2 instance (using the Windows Amazon Machine Image or AMI), how to connect, and then finally how to terminate the instance.

We will also discuss the very important aspect of AWS Network Firewall i.e routing, you can learn how to configure routing for your firewall so that it can start inspecting network traffic. We ll discuss Stateful and Stateless rule groups along with examples. We ll talk about firewall policy and how it all gets connected together. Then we ll do a step by step demo from scratch which you can follow in your own environment.
