The good folks at Softaculous announced today that Backuply Server Pro is now included free of charge with Softaculous Premium licenses. I feel excited!
It supports incremental backups, S3, SSH, FTP, and Local NFS storage.
However, it is not clear whether it is free on cPanel and DirectAdmin. The documentation doesn't imply anything.

Thank you all for trying Backuply and sharing your feedback.
Backuply Pro is included on servers having a Softaculous premium license on cPanel, Directadmin and Webuzo. We will update it on the website.
For Webuzo Personal plan Softaculous premium is already included for Free so Backuply Pro is also included for Free. For all other Webuzo plans if you buy a Softaculous premium license you get Backuply pro for Free.
We are working on fixing this issue.
The idea is to add more value to Softaculous and make it a more than just an installer by adding 10+ WordPress Pro plugins and Backuply to make Softaculous as a preferred choice over WPToolkit which only manages WordPress sites. We strongly believe this will bring providers to add their users' favorite WordPress installer back to their servers.
Backuply Pro version was previously offered for Free with Webuzo during its beta/development phase and it was also mentioned that its Free until we release a stable version. After stable version of Backup was released the Pro version was not offered for Free with Webuzo.
The incremental backups on local storage was accidentally added to the Pro version which was previously available in Backuply Free version but after a few days it was added back to the Free version (only for Webuzo).
So currently in the Backuply Free version for Webuzo you have Compressed backups to local & remote locations and Incremental backups on local.
We will also be releasing a S3 Compatible storage called Backuply Cloud soon.

I've been using Backuply on some VPS and it works well with one backup job, but does show some odd issues when I have multiple different backups from time to time, i.e can't create SSH destination, or it shows like
[0] => Fatal: create repository at sftp://[email protected]:xxxx/webuzo-backuply/xxx failed: Fatal: unable to open repository at sftp://[email protected]:xxxx/webuzo-backuply/xxx: config file already exists

I think it's odd that Backuply Pro is free for cPanel users if they are already using Softaculous, as some have dropped Softaculous because cPanel already includes WP Toolkit.

I had switched some VPS from cPanel to Webuzo as the client wanted to save on licensing costs from cPanel, and at the time, Backuply for Webuzo was free. After switching to Webuzo, it started charging $5/month extra for each VPS to use Backuply, with incremental backups (full/compressed is free). However, since there is limited space on VPS, we couldn't use full/compressed, and therefore had to pay the extra $5/month for all VPS, which increased the price. The client wasn't that happy about that. Still, the cost of Webuzo and Backuply is less than cPanel/WHM and its outdated backup system.

BackuplyPro now also works fine on cPanel.
Thanks for the confirmation.

Is there a way to deselect these plugins by default so users do not see them selected by default when installing WordPress? This is required, for example, on LiteSpeed-based servers, we don't want users to install SpeedyCache. We want them to install LiteSpeed Cache. SpeedyCache, like any other optimization plugin, creates conflict with LSCache, and unaware users scratch their heads trying to find out what went wrong.
It is definitely a good approach that you are offering these plugins for free. But don't force them on the providers. Let the providers decide what they would like to preselect.
cPanel recently started forcing a bunch of third-party features. Most providers got annoyed by that. I hope Webuzo/Softaculous learns from cPanel's mistake and never do the same mistake.
So currently in the Backuply Free version for Webuzo you have Compressed backups to local & remote locations and Incremental backups on local..
Thanks for the clarification here. This needs to be apparent in all publications, including websites and emails. The notification email I received mentioned Backuply Server Backup Pro is free with Softaculous Premium.
Which means it clearly stated the Pro version was free. If that is not the case, and/or incremental remote backups are not included, Softaculous needs to be upfront about it.
Transparency matters more than features or similarity to cPanel.
Webuzo is still heavily under development. There are other panels that are also doing fast development, but lack transparency. Providers abandoned it. You must prioritize it without exception.

Yes the providers have the option to set the plugins as unchecked or even hide the plugin they want from Softaculous admin panel -> Software -> Advanced Settings. These settings have been in place even before we introduced these plugins. We never want to force anything and give full control to providers to choose what they wish to offer to their clients.

It looks like there is a confusion here. The Backuply Pro version you get with Softaculous Premium has all features including remote incremental and all remote locations. The above statement was for Webuzo servers that do not have a Softaculous premium license they get the Backuply Free version with the features mentioned earlier.
With Softaculous Premium license on Webuzo, cPanel and Directadmin you get all the Backuply Pro features included.
Yes we are working on adding more features to Webuzo. They features you mentioned in the other thread are in the making.

But the issue is, backup didn't change the domain if you try on WordPress from one domain to another, as all-in-one migration plugin do.
