I have been a HostGator customer since 2022 and, until recently, my experience has been excellent. However, I am now facing an issue with my email storage.
Previously, my plan included unlimited mail space, and everything functioned smoothly. Recently, I began receiving server errors related to email storage. When I contacted customer service, I was informed that the system had been upgraded. I was not notified of any such upgrade or change in policy prior to this issue.
I am currently on a 10 GB hosting plan, of which I have used less than 4 GB. Despite having approximately 6 GB of available space, my email storage is showing as full due to system allocation limits. I was advised to upgrade my plan to resolve this, but I do not understand why this is necessary when I still have unused storage capacity within my current plan.
I kindly request clarification on the following:
Why is my email storage restricted when my total plan usage is well below the 10 GB limit?
When and how were these new system changes implemented, and why was I not informed beforehand?
Is it possible to reallocate my existing storage so that I can fully utilize the 10 GB I have already paid for?
I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this matter.
